About the role

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage the company's government-related processes and ensure compliance with UAE regulations. The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between the company and UAE government authorities, supporting employee services, immigration matters, labour compliance, licensing requirements, and corporate registrations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage employee visa processes, including applications, renewals, cancellations, Emirates ID services, and residency permits.
  • Handle government transactions with authorities such as MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, economic departments, municipalities, and free zone authorities.
  • Monitor visa, labour permit, and licence expiry dates to ensure compliance and timely renewals.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding requirements from a government compliance perspective.
  • Manage government portals and ensure accurate company records across all relevant systems.
  • Liaise with external government service providers, including Amer, Tasheel, typing centres, and medical centres.
  • Support HR and management with labour-related documentation, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in UAE labour, immigration, and licensing regulations and provide guidance to the business.
  • Maintain accurate records of government transactions, approvals, permits, and official documentation.
  • Assist with audits and provide relevant government-related documentation when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of UAE PRO experience with strong knowledge of immigration, labour, and government relations processes.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, free zones, economic departments, and other UAE government authorities.
  • Strong understanding of UAE employment, residency, immigration, and licensing regulations.
  • Experience using UAE government portals and electronic services.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Valid UAE driving licence.
  • Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
